Thanksgiving Thoughts

Thanksgiving was yesterday and as I sit back today and think it over I have to laugh a little bit. Only in our family could things run as they do. It was a lovely morning, nice and warm. Kids slept in like they were supposed to. DH and I got a whole 15 extra minutes...Wowweeezowiiee!
I grabbed a shower and headed over to Mom's to make butterscotch pie. (yummy!!) I realized once I was making it..like it was already setting up to gel in the bowl that it was sugar free and fat free. Who in their right selves makes sugar free fat free anything on Thanksgiving.
The rest of the day went along okay. I helped Mom with cooking and took it upon myself to help basting things. Well, I opened the oven door and got a little too close I guess because when I stood up, my eyelashes wouldn't close. My mascara had melted my lashes to lid and hence the dry eye. Luckily, my glasses were so fogged up no one could see, but of course, I told anyways...Life isn't half so funny if you don't share.
I was so stuffed and the food delicious that I couldn't help fall asleep during the childrens nap times. Oh by the way, just food for thought...lol...food for thought...thanksgiving...food...heehee ;) ...if you fall asleep next to a toddler with red juice in her bottle, you will undoubtedly wake up with red streaks of color in your beautifully brushed hair.By the way, if anyone has a suggestion as how to get red punch out of white lace pillows, please leave comment. Would hate to have to dye them pink. Hubby would be most unhappy at the thought of pink under his noggin'. Whats with men and the color pink anyways? Is it cursed? Did I miss that memo? Is not pink one of the colors of love? What's with these men...lol..sheesh!! (To all you men out there who take offense, I apologize, only if you can talk my husband into sleepin on my now pink pillow cases.)
Well, I guess thats enough on the blogging today. Wouldn't wanna soapbox...maybe tomorrow. :)
